I have lost three sisters in the past 10 years. One of them promised she would come to me in my dreams. This has not happened yet. I also attended one of your Love Never Ends events and still they have not come to me. Is there a reason that they are unable to do this?

Hello Liz,

It is quite possible that she has made her presence felt but you may not have noticed or been aware of this. But more likely, her soul is not ready or lacks the ability to speak up. Expectations are based on human clock time and not spiritual time and the readiness of the soul. Some people wait ten, fifteen or more years for contact. Also, large groups may be distracting to a soul and they might not have the ability to speak up loud enough. You may want to consider a quality medium in a private setting. Although no medium can guarantee or control what souls come through, that will enhance the possibility enormously.

We all receive some information daily – sometimes obvious and other times quite subtle. It can be experienced through humor or sarcasm, through anger or compassion. It can be seen in advertising, through clothes being worn, a subtle perfume, a bold shirt, a business suit, or metallic suit. We receive it in so many ways and often it is expressed uniquely, and often confusing…did she mean to say that?…was that a complaint or a cooperative comment…it is based on intent…subject matter…the variations in a relationship and so on. This often happens in psychic communication as well. The receiving of the information is really rather simple. What is crucial is whether we notice it or understand what is meant to be conveyed. What is extremely important is that psychics remove themselves on a personal level from the information, except for the references that create validations. The injection of personal emotion can create havoc with a reading.

As in any great art work or musical piece the interpretation of the instrument is where genius is born. The ability to delve further into symbolism . The high sensitivity to interpret intent by a departed soul can truly define a level of quality that can be compared. I am certain that there are psychics that have great talent on the receiving end by having spent little or no time developing their interpretations or reactions to the energy. Gifted mediums can clearly interpret information on a profound level of skill that is both sensitive and accurate.

We certainly show our deepest appreciation for receiving a gift by honoring it, caring for it and using it with prudence and respect. Even the smallest token of gift giving brings this energy.

Therefore, gifts can not be requested. If they become a negotiation, a manipulation of the emotional environment to solicit a particular goal, it is not genuine in the true sense of gift giving. For some, a gift also becomes a skill, a talent, a lifestyle – such as a gift for music, art, or sports. In the world,the physical plane, the level of the talent or gift is generally measured by others; thus “he /she is a very gifted musician” is based upon the reaction of others - the audience.

Are all gifts intended for entertainment, interaction with others? Certainly not. Many gifted people remain quiet, removed and out of any limelight. While others are simply drawn into prominence as a result of their gifted ability.

Certainly gifted mediums share an extraordinary sensitivity to the After Death Communication process. They have been blessed with a higher level of awareness – a keen focus on subtle images, sounds, vibrations that pass through them and around them. They connect and listen in a highly tuned in way.

To ask the question why do some not have the “gift” suggests that it can cajoled or manufactured in some way – like gifted intelligence or a gifted voice. The energy of the universe in the process of creation, the creation of each human being, has placed certain conditions in place that has provided a heightened receiver system and the energy of loved who have crossed over sense it. They are drawn to it much like a moth to flame.

When the medium opens to this process and channels or requests information to come through, it is as though a great singer is about to sing in concert and as the concerts flows so does the voice of the singer. The energy grows and grows; Thus too with mediums. Through practice, combined with gift, combined by sender and receiver, it all fuses to make the information and communication more powerful.

For whatever reason I was not born to be a professional hockey player. I wanted to be…it looks, and sounds great…the action, the money…all of it. However, as it was written in the bible, “many are called and yet few are chosen.” Spirit activates their psychic energy and yet for many reasons, emotional , personal, religious, belief systems, they never pursue the psychic work. They simply are not drawn in deeper. Spirit senses this and their doors remain open only a little. They are not closed off. However, souls that have departed  sense that when a door is open too soon, it can impact a family, a person in ways that may be disruptive.

However, in the world of spirit in the psychic dimensions we all have a receiver system. It is part of the makeup of our very soul. That is why when we cross over, we will  be able to send information. It is part of us. In the physical plane we can experience this on varying levels…we may catch glimpses, hear sounds, or sense a presence when we least expect it. Why? Because there are times when our ego coverings, fears, doubts, ambitions of the heart, are quiet and we simply “ are”. We are open to the energy, and suddenly , unexpectedly an opening breaks out and information and communication happens. It is often random and unexpected but it creates hope and exploration of the idea.

Learning to quiet the geo mind, learning to be more sensitive can be taught. To what level is like asking to what level can I sing for you. You can not choose this – otherwise there would be thousands of Bocellis in the world. – instead there is just one. There are many great singers who love to sing and sing well, just not at that level. That is in the hands of the Good Lord, the Heavens.

All  men may be created equal in the eyes of the law, but not in the human experience. We have different strengths and weaknesses. We have a variety of intelligences, pre-disposed illnesses, issues of health, baldness, obesity, etc. It varies from person to person even in the same family. This also takes place in psychic levels of understanding and awareness. It can be groomed and magnified, but as it is with your biological height, you can not grow taller than your pre-determined height. It is similar in psychic development. Your levels appear to be pre-set. What is the key  is how well you enjoy the height that you are. If more is given to you it will happen spontaneously…like growing up in your own skin!

The inner aspect of my life, my senses and awareness has been greatly heightened. Much like an explorer in nature, the very fine details of the leaves on the trees, the small canyons, the snowflakes, the young animals being born are much akin to my own inner discoveries. I am much more aware of my thoughts, actions, and responsibilities. My sense of respect for others has grown even more. I have learned to listen very carefully to people around me. My interpersonal relationships are more clarified. I certainly can identify my feelings and emotions better.

The outer part, my public life, has grown quite busy. The appointments, readings, radio programs, and traveling has greatly increased. It is very exciting and yet at the same time quite fatiguing. Expectations run very high when you are psychic. The public demands 100% accuracy, no mistakes. This is impossible to do! People either put you on a pedestal or try to kick you to the curb. The skeptics, the cynics can create havoc on your emotions if you are not centered. The psychic “nut-jobs” can pull on you with “I have just one more question…” which usually will turn into 20 more questions. It all adds up.

I need personal time to relax and rejuvenate. I pray a lot. I find comfort in prayer and quiet times. I love to exercise and sweat a lot. It allows me time to think as well as cleanses me.

My gift is guiding me, showing me the way, and I am learning to let go more and more each day. My gift has truly changed my life.

“Thank you for taking care of one of my children.”

These words ran through my mind, body and soul for two days after I gave Stephanie a five-dollar bill from my wallet; a similar five-dollar bill that I had been giving her every Friday for over one year. My five-dollars will buy Stephanie a hot cup of coffee and a pack of cigarettes that quiets her nerves (she must smoke at least three packs a day.)

Stephanie is a women disconnected from life; a schizophrenic personality who lives on the streets of southern Long Island, roaming from shopping center to shopping center begging for handouts, warming herself in all night diners and occasionally returning to a home that she does occupy with her mother. Stephanie’s mother lives on the edge of senility, a woman worn out by the tired road of old age.

My modest helping hand was a small gesture of compassion for a woman whose life has taken many wrong turns, through the corridors of psychiatric hospitals and jail cells.

However, on this one particular Friday, some 16 years ago, I handed Stephanie the same five dollars as I always did, and then I heard the voice. Not a voice …the voice!

I was driving my car on my way home and I heard it as clear as daylight. It rang in my head over and over again. The voice seemed to come from within me and yet from the outside at the same time. The same firm sentence repeated itself over and over again.

“Thank you for taking care of one of my children.”

As you can imagine I was scared, curious and definitely confused. I thought this “voice “ was my imagination, a side effect of too many movies or the tall tales that fiction writers record on audiotapes that I listen to on long drives in my car.

The “voice” seemed to quiet down after a few hours only to give rise again. Except as I became more settled with the experience, I began to pay closer attention to the message behind the voice not just what the voice was saying.

Amazingly, I knew what was being said. Somehow I was being thanked for seeing the beauty in Stephanie, that she was just as worthy of love and compassion as anyone despite her behavior and appearance. My heart was open to her and I had not judged her, nor shunned her, and somehow my behavior had resonated in a world that reached beyond the boundaries of my mind…but stretched into my soul. Somehow I was hearing the “voice” of the divine, the voice of spirit. A voice that was thanking me and at the same time preparing me for a mission that would define my life forever…

This extraordinary experience seemed to last for more than two days. Two days in which I was very aware of the “voice” all the time.

And then suddenly, like a great marlin hooked on a line, it seemed to disappear below the surface, running firmly and yet out of sight. The voice was changing my very core. It was creating within me a new perception, a new reality from which I have never looked back.

My sense of the world and beyond was changing and it changed in a way that I now knew, without question, that there was so much more to the spiritual universe than I imagined.

My journey into the world of spirit and psychic energy had begun and I had no choice but to go with it. I had changed in a way I could not explain in words… and then the communication began.

Initially, it was only the voice but as time went on I simply knew that more was coming. It was almost a sense of self –fulfilling prophecy. I thought that because I believed, it was happening. Almost a form of self deceit and yet despite my own doubts, my own sense of silliness, I could not help but feel that I was on this remarkable new journey.

Several weeks had passed and I had started to settle down with this new found experience, this sense of wisdom. I began to receive more. It came in the form of broken day dreams, images, and feelings that would leap into my conscious mind whenever I found myself near someone who had experienced a personal sense of grief or loss. Before long I began the slow steady investigation into the field of mediumship, which apparently was happening to me.

Within six months of the voices first visit, I began to develop a sense of presence; a sense of awareness that was coming from a place that I was unfamiliar with. My seemingly empty-minded daydreams had actually been visits; breakthrough pieces of a psychic language that were becoming more and more clear each day.

And the reason why I knew that it was becoming clearer was from my encounters with guests and friends of friends, of whom I had no knowledge, and yet I seemed capable of retrieving very specific pieces of information regarding deceased members of their families, validations and confirmations.

Little did I know that these “cool” psychic tidbits were actually a serious effort from the other side reaching across the veil trying to gain my attention so that I could relate this information to others; to bring hope and healing, and not to do a psychic trick. How embarrassed I was to think that I was becoming some Whoopi Goldberg “Ghost” type psychic! But soon, very soon, everything changed when the tidbits turned into heart breaking and heart healing readings that really had an affect on the sitters. It had grown way past entertainment and was getting real, real fast!

Within a very short time, perhaps a few months, I began to do readings out of my home, seeing a few people, a few families, a few couples here and there. It was in these first few years that words such as psychic symbolism, validations, affirmations, and messages took on a new meaning. They became a working part not only of my vocabulary, but expressed a glimpse into a new world that I was becoming an active member of. I had become a professional medium, a psychic.

And what was really amazing to me was that I could open to these unique gifts whenever I wished to, unlike in the past, where the messages seemed to be so random. Now they would present themselves to me almost at request. I was stunned.

The responsibility of this gift is tremendous!!! So many people place their hopes and wishes, their pain and sorrow on your doorstep. Reaching across, eye to eye, anxiously hoping to hear something, anything that will reinforce their faith and belief that all the stories we’ve heard as children are true. That we move on to another place when we die. Whether it be called Heaven, the other side, the veil, matters not. Just to know that love does not end or die is the great message and to bring this message demands great responsibility!

I have never seen my gift as a burden. I find it greatly humbling. Somehow being selected by “spirit” to act as a representative for them is amazing. To be so trusted with such delicate, beautiful messages is quite special, wonderful.

I never really worried about dying and since my gift has really broken through, my seeing death as the end is gone. My world seems slower, less quick. However, my personal time has been greatly reduced. Good readings take time, preparation. Questions and answers, tearful goodbyes, it all takes time.

What better way is there than to start my blogging off with the most common question…what exactly is a medium? Have you ever considered the notion of life after death? Ever experienced a sense that there is more to life than what is here on earth? Perhaps you have even considered a visit to a psychic medium to learn more.

For those that don’t know, I am a practicing ”Psychic Medium” here on Long Island. I have just begun my blogging venture and over the next several months, I will be contributing blog posts that answer the most pressing questions about Mediumship and the Paranormal. I hope you will benefit from my input, as I take you along on a journey to the other side of the veil.

To begin the process of conversation, I thought we would address what exactly a psychic medium is and how they work with clients.

“What exactly is a Medium?”

A medium is a person who acts as an intermediary between this life and the afterlife.  He is a person who can interpret, dissect and present information to you regarding a loved one who has passed.  He does this in a way that will make perfect sense to you and your family members.  He is a person who is ’sensitive’ to the energy of spirit and can translate what is being offered to you into workable, accurate information.  Once the energy of spirit has been established, I may give you the name of someone directly connected to you, who may either be the spirit you are looking to connect with or a particular spirit calling out to a family member.  Once the name, place or circumstance is acknowledged, the energy moves in closer and becomes intensified.  I may use dates, cause of death, nicknames or perhaps fragrances associated with that spirit.  The information is always astounding as well as emotional and is offered by me strictly for the purpose of healing.

When I presents a name to you, it is NOT always the person who has passed.  As stated earlier, they may be calling out to a family member, so be aware of those family members and close ties around you when confirming information for me.  In addition, please limit your answers to yes or no, unless I ask you about something specific that can only be interpreted by you.

The information I give my audience comes to me in (3) three ways.

A). I can envision an object or circumstance in my mind’s eye, similar to you visualizing a green and white striped beach umbrella blowing away on a windy day at the shore.  This is called ‘Clairvoyance’, however, I don’t understand the meaning of what I see, but. YOU will.  This is how spirit uses my “frame of reference” to deliver accurate, undeniable information that pertains ONLY to you.

B). I can hear what’s being said within reason.  For example; if you were lying on the bottom of a 6′ deep swimming pool and someone was trying to yell down to you.  The range of ‘hearing’ would be muffled at best.  That is why “Rob” and “Ron” sound similar to him as well as perhaps “Kenny” and “Kevin” among many possible name combinations.

C). I have ‘empathic’ abilities as well.  This means that not only can I feel emotions of the spirit, but I may be allowed to feel what happened at the moment of death.  For instance, if the person passed from a heart attack, I may feel crushing pressure in his chest until the cause of death is acknowledged by family members.  I may feel heat or smell smoke from a fire, or I may feel impact as in a sudden car accident.

A Helpful Analogy

Please take your time and THINK before answering me.  If you answer “NO” too quickly, then most likely you do not understand the process by which the information comes through to mr.  In turn, this creates incredible frustration for the spirit trying to make contact with you.  To help you visualize the process, consider the switchboard operator.

Imagine sitting in a room of 80 people who want to make contact with a loved one.  Now, imagine an additional 80 people on the “other side” waiting to be heard, that’s 160 people in a 2 hr. time span.  I speak to as many people as the energy of spirit provides.  At the average Love Never Ends seminar, I spend approximately 5-7 minutes on a “phone call”, then I move on to another reading.
